CRO-MAGS' first DVD! :D It's about time! :D I really wish that the REGULAR EDITION DVD came in a DIGI PACK design too. I don't understand the TOUR PASS thing that bands seem be doing these days. What exactly are you supposed to do with that? Anyway, the jacket is up on the official site already. I like it! Also worth checking out are the images that have popped here. Check out this one here of the guys with their shirts off. @_@ Anyway, I'm glad that we're finally getting a DVD! :D

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D I can't believe it! My mind was seriously blown finding this all out earlier! I truly did not believe KUROYUME would return after last year's live. I thought Sads was a possibility, but I also figured it would be a one time thing for them too. According to the info on the MySpace pages both KUROYUME and Sads are not one time things and Kiyo plans to do it until he's ready to say it's done. :D He also plans to continue his solo music but I don't expect a new album this year after all this news. I suppose it may be possible that he could do a single at the end of the year. In an entry posted twelve days ago Kiyo revealed that he was heading back into the studio to begin writing music. He's often talked about it in the entries since then, and in an entry posted yesterday he revealed that he was finishing writing two new songs (in addition to what he's already done since the previous entry) and that he was going to announce a new song next month. Either he means that he's announcing something new or that he's going to perform it for the first time in the upcoming SAW THE LIGHT & SHADE shows. I figure it's the latter.

Nothing has been disclosed yet regarding the line up of both bands. It's a possibility that there may be all new members in both cases considering the former members are all involved with other bands, and in nearly all cases multiple bands at that. Both bands have new official sites. I love the nod to the older gothic KUROYUME logo and art on the official KUROYUME website and MySpace. I also love the electro music in the background of both sites. The KUROYUME site has a bit of the intro to romancia and the Sads site has some of both See A Thin Pink Cellophane and Hate in it. It alternates between the two when you reload the site. Their album is due out in July and their first live together again is on May 1st in NIPPON BUDOKAN

I'm surprised both bands and Kiyo himself now have MySpace pages. I never thought Kiyo would appear on that site. It's almost tempting me to create an account there myself, but I wouldn't use it so there's no point in that. It's also annoying how the comments at the bottom have already turned into ad space for people's music. It's obnoxious. I want to see what people are saying even if it's not much, and every legitametly good comment has so far been broken up by some ugly graphic and ad for the person's music.

Anyway, I can't wait! New KURO and Sads ALBUMS! :D AHHHHHHhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

New KAELA PV! :D So fucking good! It's the new track off her upcoming BEST OF album. The PV is beautiful! Type "kaela you bet PV" into google and you can snag a higher quality version of the video. It's the fourth entry down but it was first yesterday so that can change within hours. It should be easy to spot though. It's worth it too because fucking youku quality sucks balls. The overhead shots with the colors reflecting off the balls is so beautiful! KAELA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

BIOHAZARD THE DARKSIDE CHRONICLES CM

Finally... I don't want to make a big deal of this in light of the real shit going on in the world recently, so I won't, but really... Fuck FedEx. I was really impatient regarding this one!

It's an amusing ad. :) MUSIC JAPAN+ claims that it took over 20 hours to shoot the ad. I find that hard to believe since the damn thing is 15 seconds long. I suppose it could have possibly taken them over 20 hours to set up the props since it was apparently shot at a studio.

The live footage opens up with a bit of the PV they showed during The 41st Birthday live.

There's a slip included in each version of the single with an ad for the game. I noticed some text at the bottom of the ad and realized that the PV they showed at the live is included within the COLLECTORS・PACKAGE version of the game. It was previously reported by CDJapan that the -BIOHAZARD THE DARKSIDE CHRONICLES EDITION- of the game would include this PV but that obviously didn't happen. I guess CAPCOM may have asked for it. You can check out the content listing of the COLLECTORS・PACKAGE here at the site CAPACOM has created for the game.   「LAW'S / 清春」バイオハザード / ダークサイド・クロニクルズ Ver. is included in the DARKSIDE FLASHBACK DVD. I would love to own it but under no circumastances am I going to order a game for a videogame console that I don't own. It wouldn't run in my region anyway, and it would likely require me to order a Japanese Wii. It's pretty damn expensive too thanks to the dollar being shit again. 8,390円 is like $2,000 in US dollars now or something. Hopefully, it appears on YouTube. Videogames fans love to throw stuff on there all the time. I suppose I could just watch the videos on there now though and simply play LAW'S over it. It would be more or less the same.

LAW'S (The 41st Birthday at Zepp Tokyo)

Really glad to see and hear a live of this song. It's awesome!

Kiyo really came through with LAW'S. It really captures the atmosphere of the RESIDENT EVIL/BIOHAZARD games. I played through like five of those games and I could really connect the song to the images I've seen in them. The song is dark, mysterious, and fierce. It evokes the feeling of force that can't be stopped.

I really would love to know who is the other person other than MIYO KEN who plays guitar on LAW'S and the other songs. The name is in KANJI so I simply don't have a fucking clue. :/

LAW'S-remixed version- is fun. It's has some nice use of synth keyboard on there and a really nice industrial sound to it as Kiyo indicated a few weeks ago that it would.

RELIEF is fucking awesome! The intro to that song is like one of the best intros ever. I love it. I get creepy images in my head when I listen to it. The rest of the song is also great. OKI plays bass on this and the other songs and he's sooooooooo fucking good. I also love the way Kiyo enunciate's the second half of words towards the end of the song. Let me die-ie... Let me cry-ie...

 

The jackets and CD designs are beautiful as always. Each version of the single comes with a JACKET・SIZED・STICKER of each version's jacket... Well, except for the -BIOHAZARD THE DARKSIDE CHRONICLES EDITION- which gets an image of Kiyo rather than snakeskin with zombies design that is featured on the front.

my sweet heaven

Kiyo did it! :D The "my sweet heaven" intro is in there! It fucking rules! I've been waiting for this for so long. I was kind of worried that he hadn't recorded it in this new version of CRY OUT but no it's in there and it's soooooo fucking awesome. The new arrangement is beautiful. It feels different from the original and yet familiar. It's incredible. KATSUJI plays drums on this and he's very powerful.

Beautiful PV... I love the colors and the slow motion shots. I love the way the threads on Kiyo's loose clothing flies through the air. It's really one of my favorites.

blood smell cause complex is awesome too! It really makes me think of SADS' 「untitled」 a lot. It definitely has the type of groove that those songs had on that album. It has a very rollicking energy to it. It has a lot of attitude. KATSUJI also plays drums on this track.

すれちがい (SURECHIGAI) is lovely! It's really different from the original though because HARRY and Kiyo's voices are very different from each other. HARRY has a very husky voice. Kiyo's delivers the lyrics very smoothly. He still manages to express the feeling of the song despite the contrast in their vocals. The arrangement is nice. It's just Kiyo and MIYO KEN. There's no bass. There are no drums. They decided to go the electronic route and it has a more pronounced drum loop in the background. It's not overly electronic though, but rather subtle. It really retains the energy of the original track. It has that slow burn... That feeling of haze, mist, and smoke.

I love this single. It's a really good way to start the year in music. As I often do when I get the latest Kiyo release I'm already looking foward to the next release. That said, I'm going to really going to enjoy this one in the meantime.

I was in the process of ordering LAW'S eariler today and was comparing prices between sites when I came across this page on CDJapan. There's hardly any info on the page so I put the catalog number in google and discovered that there's a KIYOHARU TRIBUTE album coming out on 3/31! :D I can't find any info though regarding who is going to appear on it.

The DVD arrived on Thursday which was really nice. :D The packing is beautiful! It comes in a DIGI PACK. I'm happy to say that it arrived safely despite Amazon.co.jp packaging it in the tightest parcel they could find. I love the bow tie design. :D

This song is awesome! It's mid to fast tempo along the lines of JUBILEE or maybe even confusion. The song is very sweet. The way Kiyo sings the refrain makes me want to sing with him.
