MONDO ROCCIA finally arrived on Monday after a few attempts to get it to me since Wednesday of last week. I've been listening to it ever since it arrived.

This song is like the musical form of crack. :D I can't get it out of my damn head! It's so simple and yet so catchy.

I love it! Initially, it didn't grasp me like the previous albums. I felt like some of the songs were missing some of the hooks that made me fall in love with their past music, but it really has its grip on me right now.

I don't have the GLYCERIN・QUEEN single yet despite wanting to buy it. I decided to wait until the album came out before I ordered it off Amazon.co.jp to save some money from the shipping since their shipping rates are pretty damn ridiculous.  When I went to order the album I discovered the limited edition version of the single was out of stock, and it doesn't look like their getting new stock in either... Argh...

Dreaming of steak... That's a steak right? :D

TOTSUZEN BURN

The way HIROTO sings this song... It feels like he's about to explode. Watching him perform this is an sight to see. He's all tense. The veins on his neck and arms seem like they can't take the energy and want to pop out.

My favorite songs on the album at the moment are JUNGLE・JAMMIN', GLYCERIN・QUEEN, TETSU KABUTO, JOHNNY COOL, TOTSUZEN BURN, KOI NI OCHI TARA, and ERO KOSO SUBETE.

The album packaging is very nice as usual. The logo of their new label ariola is plastered all over the place though... :P The back of the jacket has a really nice drawing of the cromagnon chipping away at stone with a neat looking drill. He's creating the C that's on the front jacket. There is no booklet, instead there's a folded poster sheet with the lyrics printed on it.

In an entry posted two days ago Kiyo revealed the jacket for the 090731 Liquid Room DVD.

I receieved an email from CDJapan a few days ago informing me that the upcoming single will be released on 2010/01/13. There are three versions of the single planned for release. The Type A version of the single will include a DVD that features the Resident Evil + Kiyoharu Ver. of the PV. The Type B version of the single will include a DVD that features the Kiyoharu Ver. of the PV. The contents of the Type C version of the single haven't been revealed yet but it will likely feature a different coupling track.

The new single will be called LAW'S according to the various live reports I have seen from  『The 41st Birthday』.

The titles of the two DVDs Kiyo released on 『The 41st Birthday』 are 「LOUNGE 冬椿」 (LOUNGE FUYU TSUBAKI) and 「090731 Liquid Room」. I've seen info on a blog indicating that 「LOUNGE 冬椿」 contains 22 minutes of footage. It apparently features a collection of Kiyo MC from the various shows he has done and contains no music. The DVD ends with a "to be continued..." message so there will likely be another one or more of these released in the future. The 「090731 Liquid Room」 DVD contains 88 minutes of footage. The live footage is from the 7/31 PREMIUM LIVE. It features all the madrigal of decadence songs and also includes GROOVER, HIKARI, ALIEN MASKED CREATURE, and COME HOME. Both DVDs have appeared on Yahoo! JAPAN AUCTIONS since their release. Images of the 「LOUNGE 冬椿」 jacket are here and images of 「090731 Liquid Room」 are here if you want to take a look a them. In an entry posted two days ago Kiyo revealed that he recieved a new guitar as an early birthday present from his local musical instrument shop. He plans to use it during 『The 41st Birthday』.

In an entry posted today in the STAFF DIARY it was revealed that there will be two DVDs sold at 『The 41st Birthday』. One rumored untitled DVD that will cost 2,500円 will be sold as goods during the live along with the 7/31 ALBUM PREMIUM LIVE DVD that's now called 7月31日 Liquid room Live DVD and which will cost 3,800円.

I recently recieved an email from CDJapan informing me that The 41st Birthday will be released as a DVD in December. In an entry posted earlier today Kiyo confimed the release of the upcoming DVD.

Those really are an incredible pair of boots! @_@ You could drop one of those on someone's head from fifteen feet above and it may possibly kill them. :D

It was easier to enjoy this performance more so than their appearance on the other show the day before because the stage here isn't a distraction with metal littered all over the place. Give HIROTO room to swing those boots around like a mad man! :D

3.29 gigabyte file! I mean... Seriously!? I've already had this rant before so I'll spare you from reading that again but I really do wish people had a bit more common sense. I don't like this trend of gigangtic files for a music show like this. There's the CRO-MAGS and then there's crap for the rest of the show. If there was better content in addition to what I like I would still think the size is way too large.

Makes you think it's only a matter of time before one of those boots flies off one of his feet and puts someone in the hospital. :D

This is one really bizarre stage they have there at the show.

In an entry posted three days ago Kiyo hinted at an upcoming release on 『The 41st Birthday』. He warns fans to have more money on that day in their purses than usual. He says the warning is necessary because there are no plans to release it at CD shops. He also states that IMAI is hard at work which seems to suggest that it will be a DVD release. This entry may be related to an earlier entry posted at the end of September where Kiyo revealed that he was in the studio working on the sound mix from the 7/31 ALBUM PREMIUM LIVE for an upcoming DVD release. That DVD will only be released to 300 fans who also purchased all three versions of the album and are fortunate enough to be picked. I'm not completely sure, but it sounds like whatever is being released on 『The 41st Birthday』 may also be that same DVD, thus giving more fans a shot at securing that limited release.
